The EHWSL is happy to announce that it has sanctioned The Net indoor tournament through US Club Soccer and is working together with The Net at Gold's Gym
 to ensure all players are enjoying a competitive games at the skill level they are able to play at. We are working to provide a place for all women who want to play soccer at any level, and we are working  to keep the matches competitive, safe and fun for all divisions.  

Notice of new registration process for The Net Tournament at Gold’s Gym effective January 2012.

  •  Teams wanting to play in The Net Tournament next session will be required to contact 
  • Kieran irishcoach@yahoo.com or 845-463-4800 to be approved.
  • Once approved by Kieran, players will register on line through the EHWSL at www.ehwsl.org. Player fee is determined by The Net, plus a $5 processing fee. Players will be required to have a current US Club pass, this pass fee as needed will be applied to your player fee at time of registration.
  • A signed US Club liability waiver (downloaded from our home page) and picture are required for NEW passes only, players renewing their pass only need to register online.
  • Captains will be given a US Club game roster before their first game with their registered and eligible players listed on it, please make copies.
  • Captains must hand this roster to the referee before every game.
  • Players will be required to have a current US Club pass and will hand their pass to the referee before every game. No pass, no play.
  • Players are only allowed to be registered and listed on one roster in each division.

 WOMENS INDOOR SOCCER RULES AT THE NET

 

OVERVIEW:

Women’s Indoor Tournament, The Net at Gold’s Gym

DIVISIONS:

1. (A) Women’s Open/ Competitive (Age 18 & over)           18                          6 v 6       

This division is for experienced and competitive players.           

                                                                               

2. (B) Women’s Semi-Competitive (21 & Over )                   18                              6 v 6      

 This division is a mix of experienced as well as beginning players. This division is for the player that has had more than 4 years experience  and is looking for a challenge but not as competitive as the A division.

*ONLY 3 “A” DIVISION PLAYERS ALLOWED ON THE FIELD AT A TIME

3. (C) Women’s Over 30 Recreational                                 18                              6 v 6

Players should be aware that this division typically has many beginning players and those who are looking for recreational competition.  Experienced players are expected to be respectful of the age and playing ability of others.  Beginner players under the age of 30 may be allowed to play here on a case by case basis as approved by The Net and EHWSL.                           

*OPEN “A” DIVISION PLAYERS MAY NOT PLAY IN THIS DIVISION

* ONLY 3 B DIVISION PLAYERS ALLOWED ON THE FIELD AT A TIME.          

FORMAT      

·         6 V 6 (5 + keeper)/ 10 week session

ELIGIBILITY

  • Current  player pass required of each player
  • Players required to be on the roster, and play for one team per division
  • No one under the age of 18 is allowed to play in the Open Division.
  • No one under the age of 21 is allowed to play in the Semi-Competitive Division.

Roster Options-to be managed and determined by Captains

·         A-10 (full time players) roster minimum OR

·         B- 8 F/T players w/ 4 P/T players

APPLICATION

  • The entry fee is determined by Gold’s Gym, teams need to be approved by The Net, contact Kieran at irishcoach@yahoo.com or 845-463-4800 to see if there is room.
  • Player registration can be completed online at www.ehwsl.org
  • Apply early, space is limited..
  • After notification of selection, the fee is non-refundable.

 The organizers will have the right to move up or down any teams/players that have over-estimated or under-estimated their ability or to combine divisions/teams where there may be insufficient registrations in one particular category.  The intention of the divisions is to ensure as much as possible that teams/players are evenly matched.

U.S. CLUB SANCTIONED LEAGUE

All Players must possess a current pass and be registered under the US Club in order to participate at The Net. Passes are obtained through the East Hudson Women’s Soccer League online registration at www.ehwsl.org

*Signed US Club liability waiver and picture are required to complete a new pass but not a player renewing a pass.

RULES AND CAPTAIN GUIDELINES

1. Captain responsibilities

  • Provide contact information via email to the division coordinators, phone and email for you and the designated assistant captain.
  • Contact your team weekly for game reminders to keep track of player attendance.
  • Request that your players MUST notify you if they are unable to attend a game so that arrangements can be made if your team will be short for a particular game (to allow time to coordinate subs and avoid forfeit)
  • Notify division coordinator in advance in the event that you need subs for a game.
  • Bring your team roster to each game, ensure your players have passes
  • Ensure that your team is prepared and on time for scheduled kickoff
  • Respect the referees and ensure that your players do also.

2. Guest Player process

In case of  low numbers  Captains contact their Divisions Coordinator to ask for substitutes for that week’s game.

  • The Division Coordinator will contact team captains to ask for guest players and will   let you know who can guest play.
  • Guest Players must be pre-approved by the division coordinator, registered with the league, and have a current US Club pass.
  • Guest players name must be hand written into the guest player box on the official US Club roster handed into the referee along with their pass.

 *Every effort must be made to play the games as scheduled*

Guest Players may be requested to play under the following conditions:

  • A team has less than 7 players attending the scheduled match
  • Guest player must have a current US Club pass
  • Guest Players must be from the same division
  • (A)Open Division only - Score is recorded as forfeit and 3-0 for use of a guest player

3.Players are not to be rostered on more than one team within the same division

4. A minimum of 4 players is required at game time to start a game.

5. A forfeit is given if a team has less than 4 players at the start of the game.

In case of expected low numbers Captains must contact your division coordinators and Kieran.

    • Fines or other disciplinary actions may be imposed to teams that have more than 2 forfeits in a season

Match Rules:

  • Home team changes jersey in case of conflict
  • Games will be 2- 25 minute halves
  • Format is 6v6 (5 plus a keeper)
  • Unlimited substitution on any stoppage          
  • Throw Ins from out of bounds
  • Opposing team 2 yards distance on a throw in
  • Opposing team 5 yard distance on a kick
  • Free kicks are indirect except corner kicks and penalty kicks
  • No offside Rule
  • No slide tackling
  • Ball will be played off the ceiling
  • Goal kicks cannot be played over half field
  • A free kick will be awarded if a goalkeeper's goal kick crosses midfield without first bouncing or touching a player from either team. Such free kicks will be taken from the center line.
  • Maximum score differential of 6 goals
  • Games will be held regardless of weather or at the discretion of the Gold’s Gym facility.
  • Make up games will be determined by Kieran as director of the Net.

Card system for indoor soccer:

Yellow card (warning)-Player leaves the field, Team plays down a player for 2 min

Blue Card- player leaves game for 2 min- Team can add a sub

Red card (or 2 Yellows)- Team plays down for 5 min., carded player leaves the premises/building. Team can add a player after 5 min.


Miscellaneous:

No jewelry

Braces required to be covered

Soccer Uniform, shin guards

Sneakers, cleats, and turfs allowed

Only keepers may wear pants
